Proud Momma

Madeline discovered the dress up box the other day, and for the first time ever she wanted to wear a tutu! Actually, she wanted to wear two tutus at the same time. So she did. She wore them at nap time, at playtime, and at going to the store time. I am one. proud. momma. She may be a girly girl yet! Looks like she's got some of her momma's personality after all!

One thing I am NOT proud of... She twirls her hair in the back to go to sleep and has been getting it in knots. I mean we're talking starting her own dreadlocks! (You can see in the picture that is what she is doing with her hand behind her head.) Yesterday, the two knots were SO bad that I had to CUT one out! Not what I had envisioned as "baby's first haircut!" Not to mention, we don't have all that much hair yet anyway and need to keep what little we have. Oh, how I long for the day I can fix her hair, put it in pig tails, put clips in it. Looks like I am fighting an uphill battle!

Oh, and I made it 20 miles on Monday! Not too sore afterwards either. Only my knees and ankles were sore. No foot pain! Woohoo! We took it slow and stopped every five miles for a short walk and stretch. That was a good idea! Not sure how I will make it another 6 miles, but we have 2 months to train still.

We'll I've got a 20 page paper that I've put off for weeks now, and it is due Monday. Looks like I know what my weekend will entail!
