It's happened. I've tried to ignore it for as long as possible, but it's everywhere. The 80's and 90's. It started a little last year,but this year, it's in my face everyday! Don't know what I'm talking about? Spend a day on a junior high campus, and you'll understand.
I'm talking about New Kids on the Block getting back together, Michael Jackson's Thriller song being a hit, and 90210 coming back on the air. I'm talking about big sequence belts, jellies, bangles, and friendship bracelets!
Today at school we had an student council elections assembly, and I couldn't believe what I saw! Two girls were wearing bright yellow shirts with red shirts underneath. The kicker- they had their sleves rolled up and the red undershirt sleves were showing! Another pair of girls were wearing black tank tops with neon puff paint! And a boy said, "RAD!"
You would hope that things get better with age, but the second time around, this style is still bad! When I see rolled jean legs, I might have to puke! Does anyone know what I'm talking about? Have you seen aything else that is a blast from the past?
