words, words, words!

Madeline has spoken her first sentence... Was it "I love you Mommy"? or "You're the best parents ever!"? I'd even take an, "I love Daddy." Nope. It was none of those. My daughter's first sentence was

"It's not on." Pronounced, "It not awwwn." which she proceeds to say when she notices one of her toys isn't on, or the light in the room isn't on, or the tv isn't on, and on and on, and awwwn! Sure makes me realize what an electronic world we live in!

It was cute a first, but boy do we hear that phrase over and over again throughout the day! The other day I wanted to watch something on TV, so I turned the sound on her bike off. Well, I didn't get to hear my show because instead of the annoying bike I just heard, "It not aaawwwwnn." over and over. I finally gave in and turned it on.

Other cute phrases she is saying, "Let's goooooo!" and "It's Baby Signing Time." When she wants to watch her Baby Signing Time DVD. Also, she says, "coming" when she wants you to come or go with her or when she is coming or going someone.

Other really cute things she is doing: When she wants up on something she will either pat it and say "I unt up" or try to pull herself up on her tippy toes and grunt like she is trying to lift herself up. She will pat a chair or pillow and say "sit" when she wants you to sit. Instead of "yes" she just says "k". She signs "please" and "thank you" when asked to say it. She loves the word "no" and sometimes I will hear her saying it to her baby doll when she is playing by herself but it is always more like, "no, no,no, no, no" with the sign for no and the same time. It's just too cute!

We are suddenly having problems with her sleeping. I don't know if it is because she is having problems with her allergies, or the fact that her schedule has been off, but I need her to sleep again. We have had a hard time getting her to go to sleep at all at night- last night it was a 2 hour ordeal. Then she will wake up crying in the middle of the night. Sometimes, we can just go in and lay her back down. Other times, she will be up for a few hours! I've read this is something that happens around 2 yrs old when they change sleep patterns. I just hope it ends quickly. We are trying a modified cry it out method to see if it will help. She NEVER used to cry for us!

Well, other than this, I've been busy being crafty Thanks to pinterest.com! Have you check it out yet? Oh you really must! I will post my latest projects soon!

Oh and the new pictures are not from my new camera. They are from Caleb John Hill http://www.calebjohnhill.com/#/Gallery/weddings/image_41582 A very talented up and coming photographer we got to do a photo shoot with last week. We had a blast and are thrilled with her pictures!

I like your new blog look and love the pics. Does he have your pics on his site and can I see them? I went to the web address you gave.
I bet Madeline has such a sweet voice- it's so fun when they start trying to say what they think! :)

I love the pictures! They are so cute! Is Madeline getting molars? Kenley is right now and is waking up in the middle of the night, not wanting to go to sleep, etc. We have a dr. appt and I asked him and he said it's probably the teeth.
