19 months

As you can see we've been busy again with Christmas activities. I know I say this about every month, but I.Love.This. Age! Madeline is talking so much now. She sings sweet songs softly when she is playing by herself and thinks no one is listening. All I can make out is the word Baby several times in the song. I got teary eyed spying on her. She loves her baby doll and plays with it often along with puzzles- which she has just discovered, and her new little people toys, and especially our Tupperware and DVDs.

The other day we were at Starbucks in the morning on the way to work, and this police detective in the parking lot gives her a toy from the stash in his trunk. It was this little dollar store bunny. I was thinking, oh how nice, it will be going in the toy drive at school next week. Well, Madeline had other plans. She has been attached to that bunny since she got it. She has even taken it to daycare every day!- which she never does! It is adorable, and no, that bunny is not going anywhere any time soon.

She is such a good girl and listens to well... most of the time. She has discovered the word NO. Which she says often, but it is just so darn cute, I can only laugh at it! Luckily we haven't any major power struggles yet. She is repeating words all the time now. It's amazing how much her vocabulary has expanded- even in the last week! She says "K" a lot for okay. She says mm-hmm for yes. And lots and lots of gibberish still.

Really, this is so much fun! I had the chance to workout with Bob Harper again this past weekend. But I stayed home. Let me tell you about my MOM struggle. I want to do things- like workout, but I just can't stand to be away from Madeline, so I stay home instead. This struggle inside me, is the worst thing about being a mom. I've asked other moms when it goes away and they say maybe when they are school-aged. Great- only several more years of this! I am glad I stayed home with her Saturday, but I also really wanted to go to that workout. Next time.

Gotta go do more avoiding of school work and make a Christmas calendar.

YOu probably made a great decision. I mean.. maybe you would have chosen to have gone and would have ended up stranded on the side of the road with a flat tire or worse yet, gotten the runs and been in the bathroom throughout the entire workout. Just keeping positive for ya! ;) and I can't even imagine a cuter stage than this.. everyday is something new. I'm really in love. Why oh why will she have to grow up and not adore me some day? I want to always be close to her! (creepy mom alert)
