What a difference a week makes!

This picture was taken last Monday at week 29

And this is me today- a week later- week 30.
What happened? Did I eat a small animal or any entire watermelon? I am quite disillusioned sometimes when I think, oh people probably can't tell I'm pregnant. If there was any question about that, this picture proves that, oh yes! It's obvious I'm pregnant! I will be 7 months on Friday! woohoo! I'm so excited that I'm finally 7 months along. We start our first child birthing class on Thursday night. Not sure I'm excited about that... I think in this case, ignorance is bliss. I want to be prepared, but I don't want to know everything that is going to happen.

Someone asked what I'm doing for workouts since I'm pregnant so I thought I'd share. I am doing most of what I did before I was pregnant at a modified level. I try to work out 4 days a week. I do a spin (cycling) class twice a week. The only thing that's changed in there is that I usually have to take a potty break half way through the class. Two days a week I go to a group training sessions where we do circuit training on the weights. I am still doing all the weights/strength training I used to do except some ab work and anything that requires me to lay on my tummy. The most frustrating thing has been how difficult some things are now. Planks are killer for me as are push ups- but I keep doing them. One day a week I run (can I still call it running?). My running has slowed down from 8-9 min. miles to 10-11 min. miles. I am happy to stay in the 10s now. Some weeks I am able to run 6 miles (with walking breaks every so often), other weeks I am happy to get in 4 miles. Running is more difficult, but not painful for me and doesn't bother me any- so I keep doing it. I am thinking of wearing a support belt to keep the baby from jumbling around. The only problem I've had is I might start to cramp a little- which means I am not getting enough water- and once I drink water I am fine again. Oh and the potty breaks are annoying. I've had to plan my running around available restrooms (or secluded trees).

I am hoping that I will be able to keep this up for the last 10 weeks of my pregnancy and that it will help me with endurance and stamina during labor. I am also hoping this will help my recovery go much faster. My energy is starting to fade again as I move further into my third trimester. I try to get as much sleep as possible on the weekends to recover from my busy weeks. No swelling yet or much discomfort! Hope things continue this way! Have much to get done in the next 10 weeks. I need to get scrapbooking prepared and make adorable bows. I will post my projects as I do them as well as our home remodeling projects we've been doing (when I saw WE, I mean Aaron).
