Hello? Are you still there? We've been busy lately. I really feel like life is flying by right now. Besides life, my little girl is busy... busy getting into everything! There isn't a moment that she isn't trying to touch the cat food, play in the cat water, taste the trash, chew on the computer cord, eat the newspaper and on and on! Can you tell we haven't "baby proofed" very well yet? We have a room that is in the process of being turned in to a play room, but right now the room is under construction and a hazard area. I will be so glad when it's finished and we can put here in there, close the door, and play peacefully by herself. right??? Oh, I must be dreaming.
She will no longer just sit quietly on our laps. She wants to be playing and exploring now. We had her 9 month check up and she got great reviews! Her dr. said she is doing great and looks healthy (at 21 lbs she sure is healthy!). She is still army crawling. She hasn't had any MAJOR developmental changes this month, but has achieved some minor victories. She likes to play Peek a boo! In fact when she's ready to get out of her crib, she will pull the bumper down and peak through the crib slates looking for us. When we finally come in the room to get her, she gets so tickled about seeing us! She still loves to say "dada" when she's happy. She LOVES to look at the pictures in my cell phone. That is a fail proof way to keep her happy in the car.. until she wants to eat the phone, and I have to take it away.
We are experimenting with new foods. She is eating soft, mashed table foods now. I am trying to figure out how she is going to be weaned, and on table foods completely by 12 months. It stresses me out thinking about feeding her. I am responsible for making sure she has a well balanced diet! It was easier when it was just milk!
That's all I've got for now. I have been exhausted by the time I put her down for bed at night. I've tried to bring work home and am realizing that it's just not possible to do anything once I leave school. I'm not really too sad about that one. I LOVE the time I have with Madeline playing, jogging, snuggling, eating. It's wonderful.... but, I do see a little more of her temper coming out. She has been throwing screaming fits (well... a fit for her) when she gets something taken away or can't do what she wants. We are trying not to give in to her.... I feel like the parenting tests begin now! Yikes!

You need to have another baby, SOON, and in a couple of years, you can put them in that playroom and they'll leave you alone, well, until one makes the other mad and they start screaming and crying and hitting and... oh well, it was just a thought. =)
Oh, and watch out for the phone. She'll start calling people, or other countries pretty soon too, when she discovers the fun sounds the keys make. She's so cute. Wish we could somehow meet up with you guys soon and meet her. She look so much like Aaron and you mixed!
She's SO cute! I love that last picture of her outside. I know what you mean about being exhausted by the time you put her down at night. I'm lucky to make it to 9:00 without dozing off!!! And, forget doing any school work at home--I don't mind that part either though!
